Where will you be October 5th? It will be warm (hopefully)...but with a nice fresh breeze, you'll have some sort of pumpkin spiced or apple flavoured drink in your hand and you'll be wishing you had somewhere to go where you could grab that perfect fall item or early holiday gift you've been itching to pick up. Don't worry, we have you covered. Head on over to the @etsyguelphwellington Fall Handmade Market. We'll be there along with a whole bunch of talented artisans we can't wait to meet. And if you're in the market, we'll have a large selection of charcuterie boards and beer flights for you. We're also bringing along some live edge coffee tables and jewellery organizers. We seriously can't wait.
]]>I have to be honest, I love fall—the beautiful colours, the warm sun mixed with the fresh cool breeze, the sunflowers, zinnias, and mums, and of course everything caramel and pumpkin spice. I think one of the best things about fall is the unexpected—the surprise warm afternoon later in October, the striking harvest moon that graces the autumn night sky, the unexpected fire flies at dusk, your first smell of woodstove smoke of the season, and the reminder of the how much your taste buds have missed the apple, pumpkin, and pecan pastries. Does that not just warm your heart?
We got an unexpected surprise this week—a surprise that truly warmed our hearts. We were invitation to join a very talented group of organizers and artisans at the @HelloMakersMarket fall market in the lovely town of Uxbridge. To say we are beyond thrilled is an understatement. We are so excited to join this community of makers on September 14th.
For us, fall is a wonderful time of year to be at a market because fall is often considered charcuterie board season. Now for us, charcuterie board season is all year round and maybe we’ll post a few ways to use your board every season over the next year, but we know for many just purchasing a new board, fall seems like the right time to spread that grazing platter out with all your favourite gourmet snacks. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to come by the market on the 14th and check out a few of our boards. We’ll be happy to share our favourite tips for setting up a great spread.

We love markets. We've only been to a few— we're really just starting out, but we absolutely love them. Why? Because of the community. Community is what we're all about. After all, it's through community that we are welcomed, grow, and have the opportunity to give back.
And a good market is an organic community builder. At it's simplest form, a market brings people together, but if you look closer, it's so much more. A market is a gathering place for people to support each others as we pursue our dreams. It opens us up to a world of perspectives, journeys, and creativity through the craft and gifts of others. As we gather, we both support each other and nurture growth, exploration, and togetherness. And it is through this togetherness that we experience the richness of life.
Last week we had the absolute privilege of joining the @sollgoodsocialmarket in the lovely community of Ingersoll. The organizers, @dwellurbanboutique and @mmm.chocolatea did an outstanding job fostering a gathering place of welcome. We had the most lovely conversations with both the other vendors and community members alike—experiencing encouragement and having the opportunity to encourage others. The music, the inviting gathering space, the local fresh food, and of course the community all came together to create the coziest of outdoor markets.
The only solace of having to pack up and leave at the end of the night, was knowing we would be back again in September.
It's where you'll find us—September 19th. Come join us and experience the sollgood community of Ingersoll.
